Plymouth are top of League One after a win at Leyton Orient, and only three games were played. The round fell in the international break, and six of the nine fixtures on the BBC's results listing were postponed: AFC Wimbledon against Stevenage, Barnsley against MK Dons, Bromley against Wycombe, Luton against Doncaster, Peterborough against Notts County and Wigan against Mansfield. The archived listing gives no reason for any of them, and Blackpool, Cambridge, Leicester, Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday and Stockport do not appear on it.
The three games that went ahead produced eight goals. Huddersfield won 3-1 at Burton, who lost at home in the league for the first time this season, Plymouth won at Orient with two goals in four minutes after the break, and Reading held Bradford 1-1 after Bradford, without a manager since Graham Alexander left for Preston on Monday, led after four minutes. Two games were won away, one was drawn, and nobody was sent off.
Plymouth and Bradford are level on 16 points, with Plymouth ahead on goal difference and a game more played, Huddersfield are third on 15, and Sheffield Wednesday are fourth on 14 from seven games.

Up from fourth to top on goal difference
Plymouth are top of League One, a week after losing at home to Burton, and they got there with two goals in four minutes after the break. A scramble following a corner on 52 minutes fell to Bradley Ibrahim, who put the ball across goal for Bim Pepple to poke home his fifth league goal of the campaign. Four minutes later Ronan Curtis crossed deep from the right and Will Evans headed in his third of the season.
Fin Stevens shot wide of the upright for Orient after three minutes, while at the other end Oliver Irow forced Nathan Baxter to stretch out and palm his effort away. The rest of the first half was, in the PA Media report's words, a scrappy affair. Stevens volleyed at Murphy Cooper in the 68th minute as Orient pushed for a way back, and they could not find one.
Plymouth had 20 shots to Orient's 11 and seven on target to four, although they had only 43 per cent of the ball. Tom Cleverley's line, as the BBC captioned it, was 'That's how you respond to a home defeat'. Plymouth go from fourth to first on 16 points, level with Bradford and ahead on goal difference, and Orient stay 11th on 10.
Bradford had no manager and led after four minutes. Graham Alexander left for Championship side Preston on Monday, and with joint interim managers Mark Trueman and Colin Doyle in charge the Bantams started superbly at the SCL Stadium. Bobby Pointon escaped down the left, his cross was met by Jake Beesley, and the striker powered in a header for his first goal of the season.
Reading mostly dominated the rest of the first half but were largely punchless without their injured eight-goal top scorer, Jack Marriott, and Bradford goalkeeper Cameron Dawson had only regulation saves to make before the break. Joel Pereira made a fine save from Pointon after it, and Reading levelled on 66 minutes. Randell Williams' long throw from the left caused havoc in the Bradford area, and defender Udoka Godwin-Malife hammered home the loose ball for his first goal for the club.
Bradford had 13 shots to Reading's 11, although Reading had 56 per cent of the ball and three shots on target to two. Trueman's reaction, as the BBC captioned it, was 'The team are giving everything'. Bradford slip from first to second, level with Plymouth on 16 points but behind on goal difference, and they have played a game fewer. Reading climb from ninth to seventh on 12.
A first home league defeat for Burton, and Huddersfield up to third
Burton lost at home in the league for the first time this season, and Huddersfield led at the break after what the PA Media report calls a dominant first half. Derensili Sanches Fernandes opened the scoring after 22 minutes, seizing on a poor pass from Finn Delap across his own penalty area and instinctively firing home. Delap atoned minutes later. Caylan Vickers teed him up and he lashed a rising drive beyond Matt Young into the top corner, his third goal of the season, to level the game.
Huddersfield were back in front before the break. Fernandes was the provider this time, with a right-wing cross, and Bali Mumba, ghosting into space in the area, finished from five yards. Delap was close to a second early in the second half with another fierce shot, but Young made a good save. The third was a gift: George Evans put his own goalkeeper under pressure with a loose back pass and Ashley Fletcher nipped in to score from close range.
Huddersfield had 13 shots to Burton's four, eight on target to two and 15 corners to one, although Burton had 57 per cent of the ball. Martin Drury's verdict, as the BBC captioned it, was 'I'd like to have hurt them a bit more'. Huddersfield climb from sixth to third on 15 points, and Burton, a week after winning at Plymouth, slip from seventh to eighth on 12.
